It is surprising that the deeper we dive into the niche of shooting simulators and laser training systems, the more unexpected discoveries we make. And this time, we came across an American company that already has its loyal fans and has managed to please more than 1,000 shooters around the world with its products. We will talk about Ti Training, founded in 2006 and headquartered in Golden, Colorado. A very important fact is that in addition to the main office, the company has a video studio, a professional training center, research and design facilities, which indicates that the final consumer receives a truly proven and high-quality shooting simulator. As in the case of VirTra, the manufacturer Ti Training focuses on the training process of military personnel and law enforcement officers, although it has simulators for the commercial segment.
Operating principle
The manufacturer has a truly large range of training kits, differing from each other both in the area of their application and in the built-in functionality. In this review, we will only describe the basic operating principle of the main parts of the Ti Training simulators, so to speak, for a superficial understanding, and in the next paragraph we will mention some features inherent in different kits. Like the MMTS training kit from Laser Shot, the basic shooting simulator from Ti Training is a full-fledged system that turns an ordinary room into a multifunctional virtual shooting range. A high-precision video projector is installed on the ceiling, opposite the projection screen, as well as a set of special cameras designed to capture light spots created by the laser marker of the weapon at the point of impact.
Accordingly, training weapons are also included in the virtual shooting range kit. It is important to note that one of the cameras is designed to work in low light conditions. To transmit the sound effects of the projected target environment and dialogues of training scenarios, the shooting simulator kit includes an acoustic system of powerful speakers and a subwoofer.
