VNSH Laser Strike System

Almost always, the "heroes" of our reviews are popular training systems that have already established themselves in the shooting simulator market and have a sizable user base. But today, we decided to take a different approach and review a completely new system, the development of which most likely became an additional and unexpected direction for the company. VNSH is a manufacturer of universal pistol holsters designed for concealed carry. While the American brand's products are well-known, few know that the company already has two sets of mobile shooting simulators, the VNSH Laser Strike System. Please do not confuse this with the similarly named Strikeman or with simulators beginning with the word Laser, such as Laser Ammo or Laser Shot.

Completeness

The standard training simulator package includes the Laser Strike shooting app, which must be installed on your smartphone, regardless of the device's operating system. The system also includes a laser cartridge, but we recommend reviewing the calibers offered by VNSH before purchasing, as the selection of laser cartridges is currently limited to certain calibers. This is a major advantage for shooters who can practice with their own firearm, but also a disadvantage for those who don't yet own one.

Traditionally, another component of the training system is a sturdy mobile phone stand and a set of targets. The more advanced Laser Strike training system also includes a Digital Steel target, which beeps each time it's hit. The Digital Steel is somewhat similar to Laserlyte's Quick Tyme Targets.

Operating principle

Everything here is as clear as possible and already familiar to us, as we've covered this operating principle in detail in reviews of systems like iTarget. But some of you may be reading our blog for the first time, so let's start from the beginning.
You attach a paper target to the wall or place the Digital Steel on a surface at the desired height. Opposite it, place a tripod with a smartphone, pre-installed with the Laser Strike app, so that your device's camera is pointed at the target. Insert the laser cartridge into the barrel of your pistol or rifle, and load the weapon. When the shot is fired, the trigger mechanism safely engages the laser cartridge, projecting a laser spot onto the target at the point of impact. The precise coordinates of this spot are instantly captured by your smartphone's camera and saved in the Laser Strike app. It's worth noting that depending on your weapon, you may need to cock the slide before each shot, unless you're using a revolver, as with a revolver, you'll only need to cock the hammer. Using the app, you can analyze the performance of your shots and make adjustments.

Comparison of functionality

Like many other VNSH training systems, the Laser Strike uses laser feedback from the target environment, but it has significant limitations in the variety of training modes. For more focused training, you can use the iShooter paper target laser shooting system, which offers over nine training modes specifically designed for police officers, military personnel, and professional shooters across various disciplines. If you're looking for training that goes beyond just mastering shooting skills, you can also use a full-fledged virtual shooting range to practice in specially designed scenarios, such as conflict de-escalation or hostage rescue, where the use of firearms is only a last resort.
