Wonderfitter

This time our attention was caught by a very young company that approached the creation of shooting simulators from a completely different angle — through the lens of a gaming ecosystem and new technologies. The story of Wonderfitter began not in the United States, or even in Europe, but in Hong Kong, where in 2022 the company launched its first crowdfunding project on Kickstarter — the HOUYI smart bow. The success was overwhelming: the project raised 1.8 million Hong Kong dollars, which allowed the team not only to start production but also to think about expanding its line of shooting simulators. The next project, Artemis, brought in 2.5 million Hong Kong dollars on Kickstarter and almost 1 million yuan on the Chinese platform Xiaomi Youpin. Behind these successful projects stood a team of engineers led by founder Sunkey Zeng, who, before Wonderfitter, ran a large fitness equipment manufacturing business with an annual turnover of 300 million yuan. This successful experience became the foundation that allowed Wonderfitter to scale quickly and offer products at competitive prices. Sunkey Zeng understood that traditional firearms training requires either expensive ammunition, trips to the shooting range, or bulky equipment. And so the Wonderfitter team asked themselves: what if you tried to learn to shoot by turning the learning process into a game, while keeping it realistic and useful for building skills? This is how the concept of the Wonderfitter Arsenal ecosystem was born — the world's first AI ecosystem for shooting, which combines physical training devices, a mobile app, a big screen mode and virtual reality.

Training Weapons

Wonderfitter offers three models of training weapons at once, covering different needs: from a compact pistol to a full-size rifle. They are all united by a common philosophy — to give the user the most realistic sensations possible without using ammunition.

The first training weapon in the Wonderfitter line was the compact M9 Smart Pistol, which served as the foundation for the entire ecosystem. The M9 became a kind of "testing ground" for developing new modes and games, which were later adapted for the M17 and M416. In essence, the model resembles the SIRT training pistol from Next Level Training and, depending on the mode of use, projects a laser dot at the point of impact.

The next, more advanced pistol is the M17 Smart Pistol. Its main feature is motorized recoil, which provides tactile feedback comparable to a real firearm. In addition, the weight and balance of the M17 are as close as possible to those of a real Glock pistol, which makes it possible to practice not only aiming, but also a proper grip, weapon control while shooting and fast reloading. The trigger pull is also adjustable, which allows the pistol to be adapted to specific training tasks — whether it is practicing a smooth trigger press or rapid fire.

And finally, the full-size M416 Smart Rifle replica, which impresses with its realism and tactile feel. Unlike many plastic training devices, the M416 has a weight and dimensions as close as possible to the real combat rifle. The rifle's key feature is the ability to select the firing mode: single shot or automatic. In automatic mode, the motorized recoil reproduces a series of rapid impulses, making it possible to practice weapon control during long bursts. This makes the M416 an indispensable tool for training suppressive fire, rapid position changes and tactical reloading.

Shooting Lab Software

The heart of the Wonderfitter ecosystem is the Shooting Lab app, available for iOS and Android. It is not just a program for displaying shooting results, but a full-fledged training platform powered by artificial intelligence. The app connects to the training devices via Bluetooth and offers the user 3 difficulty levels and 18 diverse missions covering different aspects of shooting.

The key feature of Shooting Lab is the AI Drill Engine, which analyzes every shot and provides personalized recommendations for improving shooting technique. The system evaluates not only hit accuracy, but also parameters such as grip, trigger smoothness, aiming stability and reload speed. All statistics are visualized as analytical charts, making it easy to see your strengths and weaknesses. This turns training into an engaging process, motivating users to practice regularly and improve their results.

The Shooting Lab app supports three modes of use. The mobile mode requires you to install a special mount, as in the Virtual-shot training system we already know, and the screen of your mobile device serves as the target environment. The big screen mode with a TV or projector basically resembles, in its operating principle, the work of our virtual shooting range from SHOOTING-SOFT LLC, with laser feedback with the target environment as the key factor. The last mode, virtual reality, is especially interesting, because it lets you fully immerse yourself in the training environment without being distracted by external factors. That is why virtual reality systems such as Ace or Gaim, compatible with various VR headsets, are becoming increasingly popular.

Based on this review, we can conclude that Wonderfitter offers not just a set of dry fire training systems, but a complete training ecosystem that combines physical devices, software and a gaming approach. It is a solution for those who want to train regularly without spending time and money on trips to the shooting range, while still getting objective feedback on their progress. Realistic recoil, AI analytics and the ability to compete with friends make Wonderfitter a serious competitor to many traditional shooting simulators, and the company's crowdfunding success confirms that its approach is truly in demand on the market.
